Mayor John Whitmire gave a press conference this morning to address the resignation of former Police Chief Troy Finner. Mayor Whitmire has appointed Larry Satterwhite to be the interim Chief of the Houston Police Department.
Mayor Whitmire says the decision for Finner to retire was entirely his own, and he did not force Finner to step down. Mayor Whitmire will speak to Houston's Morning News at 7:20 a.m. tomorrow morning.
