A televised report says the HPD Chief Troy Finner knew about the lack of staffing code that has ledTo 264,000 suspended cases years before ha claims he did.
The Chief claims he only found out about the code in 2021. An email uncovered by KHOU shows he knew about the issue in 2018.
As of now, HPD has had no comment, but last week the department said an internal affairs investigation into the scandal had been completed.
Mayor John Whitmire has had an independent panel looking into the scandal as well.
