House GOP Passes Bipartisan Antisemitism Bill - With 91 Votes Against

With anti-Israel demonstrations happening across the country without any pushback from the Biden administration, House Republicans passed a bipartisan antisemitism bill at a time when our nation needs it the most.

The bill overwhelmingly passed the House by a 320-91 vote, netting a majority of Republicans and Democrats. The surprise is the 91 who voted against the bill, including 21 Republicans, which included Chip Roy, Michael Cloud, Byron Donalds, and Matt Gaetz who said the bill is government overreach and that it would negatively impact free speech on campus.

If passed by the Senate and signed by President Biden, the bipartisan Antisemitism Awareness Act would mandate that the Department of Education legally adopt the International Holocaust Remembrance Alliance's (IHRA) definition of antisemitism when enforcing anti-discrimination rules.
