Texas is continuing to lead the way on economic development, showing that conservative government really does work. Now Texas has set a record, claiming the title of "Best State For Business" for the 20th year.
The title was awarded by Chief Executive Magazine, who conducts an annual survey of the nation's leading CEOs. Governor Abbott released a statement celebrating the new record, saying, “Texas truly is the Best State for Business and stands as a model for the nation." He went on to say that, “Freedom is a magnet, and Texas offers entrepreneurs and hardworking Texans the freedom to succeed. When choosing where to relocate or expand their businesses, more innovative industry leaders recognize the competitive advantages found only in Texas."
This achievement also comes after Texas set a record in attracting the most job-creating business relocation and expansion projects, as well as growing faster than the rest of the nation economically for a sixth consecutive quarter.
