Democrats are showing their true colors now. Republicans are trying to ensure that only Americans are represented in the American Congress, and Democrats are voting against it. HR7109 would require the census to add a citizenship question and only assign congressional seats based on the number of citizens.

The bill was passed through the oversight committee and will now go before the full House, but it's worth noting that the vote was completely along party lines.

Maria Espinoza with the Remembrance Project told KTRH that there's a reason Democrats want illegals counted on the census regardless of citizenship. She said, "They want them counted in the census so that they can get more seats in the states with higher illegal populations."

As of right now, the states that would benefit the most from illegals being counted are New York and California, which are Democrat super states.

Allowing congressional seats to be assigned regardless of the citizenship of residents would allow Democrats to have more seats in the House, as well as make it easier for someone to win those seats.
