President Biden and Japan's Prime Minister Fumio Kishida discussed the Houston-Dallas High Speed Rail project during a state visit in Washington D.C. on Wednesday. If built, this would be the first high speed rail project in the U.S. that utilized the "Shinkansen" (Bullet Train) technology.
AMTRAK is joining private developers in the Texas Central High Speed Rail Development project. The 240 mile rail line is estimated to allow passage between the two cities in about 90 minutes.
