One of the reasons our federal government, led by Joe Biden, refuses to close the border may be the big businesses profiting off the border crisis. One such business is the meat processing company Tyson Foods, which says they want to hire some 42,000 illegal immigrants to work at their plants.

The Remembrance Project's Maria Espinoza told KTRH, "We all know that the illegal aliens will take those jobs at a lower wage. And it does keep the lower-income Americans' wages down." Labor is, of course, like any other form of goods and services; its price is determined by supply and demand.

Espinoza says this increase in the supply of labor at a cheaper cost leads to higher profit margins for these major corporations that hire illegals, which in turn leads to bonuses for CEOs and owners.

This all combines to create a major financial incentive for these companies to want to keep our southern borders open. Many of these large companies and elite CEOs can then lobby and donate to elected officials.
