Businesses have been struggling to attract and retain talent, and the shake-ups brought about by COVID-19 are likely to blame. After so much changed so quickly, many workers have decided that going back to the office Monday through Friday just isn't for them.

Career coach Ken Coleman told Fox Business, many people want more out of their jobs now and are less willing to work just to collect a paycheck. He says oftentimes younger workers, who make up a majority of the workforce, are looking for jobs that directly apply to their passions.

This leads to people hopping back and forth between multiple jobs, or staying out of the mainstream workforce altogether and attempting to start their own business. Coleman says if companies want to attract and retain talent these days, they're going to have to show these younger workers a clearer connection between their jobs and their passions.
