Comer: Hunter Biden will Appear in Public Hearing

Hunter Biden claimed in closed door testimony for three House committees that he did not involve his father in any business deals.

The President’s son also blasted House Republicans for having "hunted" him in their "partisan political pursuit" and impeachment inquiry into his father.

After the hearing, House Oversight Committee Chairman James Comer said the next step is a hearing for all of America to see.

“I think this was a great deposition for us. It proved several bits of our evidence that we've been conducting throughout this investigation.

“But there were also some contradictory statements that I think need further review.

“So, this impeachment inquiry will now go to the next phase, which will be a public hearing.

“And that's something that I think everyone in the media has been asking a lot of questions about, something that I know that Mr. Biden and his attorney both demanded.

“Just as I said when we said we were going to do the deposition first, we will have a public hearing next.

“So, I think that the public hearing hopefully will clear up some discrepancies between some of the statements that were made between some of the associates and what we heard today.

“I look forward to releasing the transcript as soon as both sides agree to that.

“Hopefully that'll be within the next two or three days.”

The testimony behind closed doors came after the younger Biden stiffed House Republicans and did not testify in December.
