Another Republican Governor is stepping up to help the state of Texas secure the border.

Georgia Governor Brian Kemp is joining other states including Florida, Arkansas, Missouri, Indiana, and Iowa in sending National Guardsman to the Southern Border.

"I'm announcing today that in addition to the Georgia guardsman already stationed at the border, we will send reinforcements to Texas this spring who will assist with the construction of a forward command post on the border with Mexico."

Meantime, as Texas has stepped up operations in Eagle Pass, taking control of Shelby Park, crossings are slowing down.

CBS News reports that in recent weeks, the flow of migrants crossing into the U.S. illegally has largely shifted away from Texas, concentrating instead in Arizona and California, where immigration officials are now recording roughly 60% of all unlawful border crossings.

In response, Governor Greg Abbott posted on X that, “Our stiff resistance is educating cartels not to mess with Texas.

Texas will continue erecting more barriers & target more arrests to better secure the border.”
