All eyes are on the U.S. Supreme Court, which is going to play a big role ahead of this year's critical election.
"It's hard to say the last time there was a Supreme Court term that had so many cases, that could have such a big impact on the presidential election" said Michael Macagnone, legal affairs reporter at CQ and Roll Call.
In addition to at least 3 cases involving former president Donald Trump, keeping him on the ballot, immunity, and the gag order, there are also 2 cases involving abortion, and 2 on gun control.
"Whether a federal ban on gun possession for people who have certain civil domestic violence orders against them, is constitutional" Macagnone told KTRH.
As for Trump, he is expected to go back before the Supreme Court to contest a lower court's ruling that rejected his claim of immunity for any criminal charges.
Decisions in the non-Trump cases are expected in late June.
