Fulton County District Attorney Fani Willis admitted in a Friday court filing to a relationship with a lawyer she appointed to prosecute former President Donald Trump. While she admits having the relationship, Willis claims it did not interfere in the case.

This is the first time Willis as admitted the affair.

If Willis ends up recusing herself from the case, it could end the county’s prosecution of Trump or potentially delay the proceedings until after the election.

Earlier this week, Georgia House members passed a bill to recreate a committee to remove Willis. Gov. Brian Kemp supports this and was against launching a criminal investigation into Willis.

Elsewhere, House Judiciary Committee Chairman Jim Jordan has subpoenaed Willis, demanding documents from her office following allegations that she fired a whistleblower who tried to stop a top campaign aide from misusing federal funds.
