When Donald Trump tweeted in 2013 that the climate scare was nothing more than a way to empower China, he was right on the money. That is exactly what is happening now, with our money.
As the U.S. continues to try and eliminate the use of fossil fuels, China has been tightening their grip on rare earths that are needed for the left's radical green agenda.
"We can't mine this stuff in the United States due to our standards, but we're gobbling it up from China" said Marc Morano with the Climate Depot, "And it's just a huge problem. We have some of the highest levels of rare earths in the world, but we're not allowed to access them."
And because of that, we have become too dependent on China, and many conservatives are now calling for the U.S. to 'decouple' from China.
"This is a national security issue" Morano told KTRH, "You want domestic, home grown energy and rare earth minerals and supplies. When you don't have that, you become reliant. And when you're reliant on a country like China, that's about the worst case scenario."
Right now China accounts for nearly 70% of the world's output of rare earths. On a side note, there is rare earths processing facility set to open in Hondo, Texas in 2026.
