As if Americans didn't have enough financial hoops to jump through, childcare prices are on the rise as well. Some parents are now paying as much for childcare each year as they did for college.
Financial expert Derrick Kinney told KTRH, "It's causing parents to make difficult choices. Do they work from home, or do they work just to pay for childcare?"
Among other factors, rising minimum wage, as well as lingering inflation is causing what Kinney says is a very "combustible situation." He says this is making things particularly hard for families who often have, "more month left than money."
Kinney says this will likely continue until parents decide that they aren't willing to put up with it and start looking for alternatives.
