We're almost already at the end of January, but it's going to be a long 9 months for the mainstream media.
By trying to hurt former president Donald Trump, and his followers, by not showing him or covering him, the reality is they are only helping him. The poll numbers continue to bear that out.
"They're not hurting Trump and they're not helping Biden, because keeping Biden in bubble-wrap allows Trump to gain the advantage" said political writer Jonathan Tobin, "It's all rooted in this open partisanship which is bad for journalism, bad for American democracy, and also bad tv."
Not a good look, and not a good situation for the left-wing media.
"They know they're under scrutiny for this, and they're under scrutiny from their left-wing core audience which doesn't want them to report anything about Trump" Tobin told KTRH, "They want to be completely shielded from him, and they want Biden in bubble-wrap. They're twisting themselves into pretzels on this."
And as an added twist, he reminds us that Trump won in 2016 without the media's help.
