Stigma Of 'Dirty Fossil Fuels' Is Driving Young People Away From Oil & Gas

The left's relentless attack on fossil fuels has left a lasting impression on the industry. It's driving young people away because of the narrative that oil & gas, are "dirty".

"The oil and gas companies, even though they're hitting record high production, they struggle to get enough workers" said Kevin Killough, energy reporter for Just The News, "And the young people just don't want to go into it, and their labor force is aging and they're looking at ways to address that."

One of the biggest ways, is by pushing back on the left's attack, and promoting all of the good things that come from fossil fuels.

"It's the climate activists, and the media goes along with this narrative that we can easily replace fossil fuels, and that wind and solar are cheaper" Killough told KTRH, "People's understanding of energy is severely lacking and being informed by people that really just hate fossil fuels."

According to the latest data, petroleum engineering is the highest paying bachelor's degree in the United States, with an average annual salary of $97,500.

Needless to say, you should not have to apologize for working in the oil & gas industry, no matter what the left says.
