The Houston area is dealing with yet another round of storms, making for a messy commute. A Flash Flood Watch is in effect until Noon tomorrow.
In Montgomery County, at least five people and several animals were evacuated due to high water.
Several residents, eight dogs, and a cat were evacuated from Allen Drive after strong storms moved through the area.
Lake Conroe Firefighters said that evacuations are currently voluntary.
Elsewhere, San Jacinto County announced a voluntary evacuation of Camilla Twin Harbor and Cedar Valley due to rising water from the Lake Livingston Dam.
Most homes in nearby neighborhoods are not elevated. At the most, they sit on a few cinderblocks.
A disaster declaration has been issued for the county as well because of the rain and flooding.
