Today through February 2nd, eligible Harris County residents can apply for a new program that provides $500 a month to help pay the bills.
Qualifying applicants are residents 18 or older, living in one of ten high-poverty ZIP codes affected by the pandemic, and earning less than 200-percent of the Federal Poverty Line.
Harris County Commissioners created the 20-million-dollar Uplift Harris program last year.
The application period was delayed from its scheduled start on Monday.
