It's CFP National Championship Weekend In Houston

It's another big time sporting event, but it's nothing new for Houston. We've had of course World Series, the Super Bowl, and the Final Four. Next up the CFP National Championship Game!

But what if you don't have tickets? No worries, there's still lots to do all weekend long! For a complete list, just go to CollegeFootballPlayoff.com/ppl.

Starting today, it's Playoff Fan Central! At the George R. Brown Convention Center!

o   FREE -- Opens on Friday at noon at George R. Brown Convention Center.

o   A three-day family-friendly fun event features games, youth sports clinics, pep rallies and exhibits celebrating college football.

o   Media Day is free for fans on Saturday morning at 9 a.m.

o   The two team bands will perform on Sunday at 2 p.m. and 3 p.m., respectively.

If you're in the mood for some music - AT&T Playoff Playlist Live!

o   A three-night FREE concert series that begins on Friday night at Shell Energy Stadium.

o   You can still sign up for tickets online at collegefootballplayoff.com/PPL.

o   KIDZBOP plays Friday; Latto and Jack Harlowperform Saturday night; Megan Moroney, Jake Owenand Jon Pardi play Sunday night.

And then for those of you who want to stay in shape and enjoy the atmosphere....Trophy Trot, presented by Houston Methodist.

o   Sunday at 9 a.m. – held in the heart of downtown Houston.

o   A 5K distance run and a 10K distance run.

o   All participants receive a T-shirt and a medal.

o   Proceeds benefit the CFP Foundation and their mission to support teachers.

And then last, but definitely not least, we can't forget the food! With the 'Taste Of The Championship'

o   Union Station at Minute Maid Park – 5 p.m. on Sunday.

o   An opportunity for fans to sample gourmet food and drink from Houston-area chefs.

o   Proceeds benefit the CFP Foundation and their mission to support teachers.
