With just 3 weeks left in office for outgoing Mayor Sylvester Turner, some new scandals have emerged that can be added to the list.
And despite the fluff piece's that you might see on the local tv news, many Houstonians are now taking a serious look at Turner's legacy.
"I do think it's going to be problematic" said Holly Hansen, who documented Turner's legacy list for The Texan, "People are going to look at the budgetary issues, the crime issues, and the contract issues. And a culture of corruption at City Hall. I think those things are going to play out."
It's quite a long legacy list for Turner, who's 8-year termed out run officially comes to an end on January 2nd.
"We have the issue with bid-rigging going on, in regards to low income or affordable housing projects" Hansen told KTRH, "We've had federal investigations into illegal dumping, there is a pending lawsuit against the city regarding the lucrative Hobby airport contract."
You can add to that the latest water repair contract scandal, and the funding fiasco for Turner's new book.
