The fourth special session of the Texas Legislature ended the same way the others have, without the House passing school choice. The lower chamber adjourned the session earlier today.

The state Senate did its job, passing school vouchers again. But, the House gutted the bill that Governor Greg Abbott had backed, stripping it of vouchers.

The Governor has said he would call special session after special session until a school choice bill gets to his desk. But, insiders say he might not do that until after Christmas and New Year's.

The Governor has started endorsing against the Republicans who voted with democrats against school choice.
