Texas Governor Greg Abbott has endorsed Donald Trump for President in 2024 in Edinburg, Texas today. The two met at an event at the Edinburg airport to feed Texas DPS Troopers and Texas National Guardsmen working on Operation Lone Star. Abbott referred to Trump as "former and future president".
Trump had previously endorsed Abbott in his 2021 campaign for governor.
The Texas Primary elections are scheduled for March 5, 2024.
In his comments, Trump referred to the current situation at the Texas/Mexican border as "the most unsecure border, in the history, I believe really, of the world...I don't think there has ever been a country in history that's had a border where millions and millions and millions of people are flowing into our country "
