A large chemical plant fire in Shepherd has led to evacuations and a shelter in place for residents in part of San Jacinto County.
The fire was the result of an explosion - caused by a forklift incident - earlier this morning. The explosion and fire at Sound Resource Solutions and SoundRS Logistics led to one injury.
The shelter in place orders that were in effect earlier in San Jacinto and Polk Counties have been lifted as of 3PM.
