It's a big night here in Houston, as the much anticipated 5th annual Texas Youth Summit gets underway in The Woodlands.
Founder, and former congressional candidate Christian Collins has put together an impressive list of speakers that includes, Senator Ted Cruz, Donald Trump Jr, Riley Gaines, and Charlie Kirk.
"It's an honor to have so many patriots from around the country that want to come and participate in this effort to educate, and equip our young people with Judeo-Christian and conservative values" Collins said.
The conference is like no other, not only here in the Houston area, but it is also now the biggest youth event in the state of Texas. And it provides a great opportunity for parents to let their kids hear the truth, about many of the key issues that are affecting our young people, and our culture.
"If I were to summarize this" Collins told KTRH, "I think some of the main issues are keeping men out of women's sports, fighting against the drugs that are in our schools like fentanyl. We want to close the Southern border, and we want young people to be active and engaged in the political process. We want them to find their purpose and their calling, and to work to save our country."
The 2-day Texas Youth Summit is being held at The Woodlands Waterway Marriott, and the event is free for young people ages 12 to 16.
"The main thing we want to equip our young people with is that God has a plan and a purpose for your life, you just have to walk in it and continue to stay close to Him. He will direct your path, and so we want young people to find their purpose and their calling by coming to this conference."
Doors open tonight at 6pm, and 7am on Saturday morning.
