Biden's visit to the UAW picket line lasts just 12 minutes

President Biden only committed to visiting striking UAW workers after former President Donald Trump made his visit official. And Biden spent less time with workers in Michigan today than it takes for the average person to eat lunch.

The visit lasted a total of twelve minutes, during which Biden told workers to "stick with it."

The president had previously voiced support for the striking workers, yet he and other White House officials had repeatedly declined to confirm whether he backed the specific demands put forth by UAW to the "Big Three" automakers, including a 40% pay increase.

Asked as he was departing the picket line, Biden told reporters "yes" in terms of backing a pay increase for union members.
