With all of the focus on next year's 2024 presidential election, what about the races in the House and the Senate? According to the latest 'projections', we are likely heading towards another congressional split. Only this time, Republicans will take back the Senate, while the Democrats reclaim control of the House.
"With the House, I think you're looking at a very tenuous situation for Republicans, unfortunately I think the House is definitely in jeopardy now" said Bonchie with Red State, "As far as the Senate goes, I think that's a different story, as the math is very good."
According to the analysis, the GOP needs only 2 or 3 wins to flip the Senate. But in the House, 18 Republicans appear to be vulnerable.
"We're over a year from the election, anything can happen and things can shift" Bonchie told KTRH, "I think the message is to just be diligent, and don't take anything for granted. We've got to get turnout, we've got to encourage early voting at this point and ballot harvesting. Everything we can do, we've got to do."
And it all has to start with GOP unity.
