Forget about going to the DMV today. Your appointment got canceled.
DPS announced a statewide cancellation of all driver's license appointments for today. This comes amid an ongoing outage of the driver's license system.
DPS initially said the cancellations would be between 7:30 a.m. and noon.
The outage impacts all driver's license services, including renewing or replacing a driver's license or identification card, obtaining a driver's record, and verifying eligibility.
DPS said the outage happened over Labor Day, and customers are being notified of the cancellation of their appointment via email or the phone number used when scheduling.
The department is still working to fix the issue.
