Department of Homeland Security hiding true number of border crossings

For years, illegal border crossings have increased, and become more of a problem. When Title 42 ended in May, a Trump-era policy that allowed Border Patrol agents to deport immigrants, the numbers surged even higher.

President Joe Biden has instilled his effort at fixing the problem by creating asylum centers in Central America, to help springboard immigrants into the US, but also created his own little immigration loophole. His app, called 'CBP One,' allows 1,000 people per day to cross and claim asylum, without any appointment.

This has helped Department of Homeland Security hide the true numbers of crossings, in what equates to a 'hide the ball under a cup' shuffle game. Except with immigration numbers.

Former U.S. Marshal Robert Almonte says this opens the door for anyone, and everyone, to come into the United States.

"The word has spread from the migrants who have made it, they are getting word to their family and friends in Mexico, Venezuela, and other countries, to come into the United States, and how easy it is to do," he says.

A recent report shows that 99 percent of migrants who had appointments schedules through Biden's app were just released into the country. They also upped the number of admissions from 1,000 to 1,450 per day already.

"It is so easy, that these immigrants are posting videos to Tik Tok, YouTube, and Facebook showing migrant being exported from their home country to the United States," he says. "They are making it look like an adventurous trip, just fun and games."

That is not the only thing offered up on social media. Cartels are actively recruiting desperate people.

"They are using those devices to recruit smugglers on our side of the border to drive a truck from the border into places, like Houston, for $50,000," he says. "The drivers usually do not know it is migrants they are transporting...they just say if you are interested in making $50,000 to get ahold of them."

Now, Biden's CBP One app essentially circumvents the country's actual border policies and allows the White House to essentially have their own immigration system.

"We need to enforce the law, and it seems like that is not being done. It seems like we are picking and choosing which laws will be followed, or even worse, to what extent the laws are followed," he says. "All of this is free marketing to migrants worldwide to come here...it is just a big welcome mat at our door."

So, obviously Step One in fixing the problem would be for the Federal Government to follow their own laws. But, with Biden opening the floodgates, is it even possible to put Pandora back in the box?

"It is too late to do anything about ones already here...I do not think it will be too late to stop bleeding or keep it from getting worse if we get new leadership," he says. "But, in many systems, it is too late, and it is overwhelming our systems."
