With violent crime still out of control here in Houston, and we know how the multiple gun buyback events have backfired, there is a way to help stop crime that you may not have thought of.
How about stabilizing our U.S. dollar?
"Inflation is tied to crime" said economist and FOX News contributor, Elizabeth Ames, "When money loses value, prices go up and people start to resort to all kinds of desperate measures to hold on to what they have, and you see a lot of crime. That's what we're seeing right now."
What we are seeing all across the country, is the real effects of Biden-flation, and everyday financial pressure.
"When money suddenly can't buy what it used to buy, people get angry, they need to do something to hold on to what they have" Ames told KTRH, "So, that combination of anger and desperation of wanting to hold on to something, creates crime and it also creates a lot of the social malaise we're seeing."
For whatever it's worth, a bad economy leading to a spike in crime is nothing new. It's just that it's been awhile, as we now have the worst inflation in more than 40 years.
