Have you finalized your summer vacation plans yet, because apparently everyone else is. This press release arrived in my inbox this week and it got me to thinking...hmmm....Port Aransas? I'm intrigued. I wanted to share this with you:
Port Aransas, TX. May 2023 –Cinnamon Shore, the first New Urban vacation community on the Texas Gulf Coast, will kick off its summer season on Memorial Day. Coming off a sold-out spring break and full Easter weekend, it anticipates a strong shoulder season next fall as well.
Two new specials could help guests find a reservation at the Gulf-front destination, located on the outskirts of Port Aransas. The Spring Special continues through May 23, 2023, offering one complimentary night for stays of two-plus nights during the week. As rentals fill quickly for summer 2023, a Gap Stay Special allows shorter vacations despite a longer minimum night requirements for peak season. Check Specials at cinnamonshore.com for details.
Cinnamon Shore is a self-contained, Gulf-front vacation destination set along 18 miles of uninterrupted beachfront on Mustang Island. It now includes two communities — the original, Cinnamon Shore North that has developed over the past 15 years, and its newer, 150-acre expansion, Cinnamon Shore South.
“We’re a safe, multi-generational, family-friendly destination centrally located within a two- to four-hour drive from several Texas cities,” says Celeste Edwards, General Manager, Vacation Rentals at Cinnamon Shore. “Our guests and homeowners experience year-round gatherings and special events, families large and small can choose from a variety of home sizes, building bonds and beach memories.”
The community welcomes families, couples, and friends with a wide variety of properties that offer private access to broad beaches. Choices include luxury, large-scale beach homes, cottages, low-rise townhomes, and condos set in a scenic, pedestrian-friendly environment. Guests enjoy resort-style, family-friendly amenities, conveniences, and beachfront property protected by coastal dunes and open green spaces.
Perhaps the biggest draw of Cinnamon Shore is its broad, walkable beachfront with firm sand, gentle surf and warm water lasting well into the fall months. Beach activities range from sandcastle building and surfing lessons to private beach bonfires with s’mores, yoga lessons or just relaxing. Vacationers and homeowners can rent golf carts on site to cruise the beach and reserve lounge chairs with coral-striped umbrellas for all-day use.
The variety of activities available while staying at Cinnamon Shore appeals to first-time and return guests. They include outdoor movies; live music; s’mores nights at community fire pits; fishing in stocked, on-site lakes; in-home catered shrimp boils and paella parties; oversized chess and other lawn games; bike rentals; paint and sip parties; and DJ music at multiple pools. Pet lovers can choose from a group of pet-friendly rentals and take advantage of the Dune Dogs’ Playground. “We’ve gradually expanded our activities and amenities and added more fun things to do during beach vacations,” Edwards says.
Special year-round themed events are also a big part of Cinnamon Shore’s culture and family-gathering experience, including Mother’s Day Weekend, May 12th-14th, and several Market Days on The Great Lawn, including one on May 13th, where visitors and homeowners can enjoy live music as they browse vendor tents. A Father’s Day Barbecue set for Sat., June 17, will celebrate beach-loving dads, while Fourth of July week sells out year after year, with the patriotic fun including an annual bike parade, live music and more.
Cinnamon Shore North offers three resort pools, including the Dune Pool, Still Water Pool, and Keira’s Pool with infinity edge overlooking Lake Gavin. At Cinnamon Shore South, an infinity pool with views of a 7-acre lake is framed by cabanas, fountains, fire features, and it offers a sun deck and food and beverage service from C Bar Too. A second pool designated for families includes a splash pad and will finish at “South” this summer.
Homeowners and guests can enjoy reciprocal access to all amenities at “North” and “South.” The communities are only about 1.5 miles apart so it’s easy to try a new pool or restaurant.
On-site dining at Cinnamon Shore runs the gamut, from fine coastal cuisine at Lisabella’s to the more casual Dylan’s Coal Oven Pizzeria, C Bar, serving light meals and snacks poolside, C Treats for ice cream, snow cones and snacks, and newcomer Shore Café, which will renovate the former Coffee Waves shop’s space, expand the footprint, and offer a broader menu. New this summer, community paella parties and shrimp boils will happen on weekends at the Town Center green.
Many vacationers use Cinnamon Shore as home base for enjoying annual fall events in and around Port Aransas, such as the Port A Live Music Fest, Shoptoberfest & Taco Margarita Trail, and the Annual Wood Boat Festival. “For now, a few rentals remain available for summer, but they’re filling up quickly!” Edwards says. “Summer is carefree and full of fun, but many people come during fall, when our community activities continue on weekends, Port A hosts great events, and the weather stays warm.”

About Cinnamon Shore
Cinnamon Shore was the first pedestrian-friendly, master-planned vacation home community to open in Port Aransas in 2007. Nestled behind the protective dunes on Mustang Island along the Texas Gulf Coast, it is the first environmentally friendly, New Urban development for Atlanta-based Sea Oats Group, which is fulfilling its vision of a traditional seaside village with a wide array of amenities and recreational facilities intertwined with beach cottages, luxury villas and vibrant town centers.
Cinnamon Shore is a destination growing at the edge of Port Aransas, set along 18 miles of uninterrupted wide beachfront on Mustang Island. It is now comprised of two communities — the original, Cinnamon Shore North that has developed over the past 15 years, and its newer, 150-acre, Gulf-side expansion, Cinnamon Shore South.
