The Family That Dines Together Shines Together

We all know about the importance of family, but a new report found that family time at the dinner table is on the decline. That is not good.

In his new book titled, 'Dining With The Saints', Michael P. Foley, a professor at Baylor University, discovered the importance of regular family dinner time.

"It's strange when you think about it, what an amazing impact the family meal has" Foley said, "I don't know why, but it simply does."

Unfortunately, it also has an impact on those who don't have regular meals as a family.

"Without the family meal, teenagers have lower academic performance, substance abuse, and unwanted pregnancies" Foley told KTRH, "Without the family meal, adults are more likely to have mental and physical health problems, and they're more likely to get divorced."

He says the biggest key is to make family dinner time mandatory.
