China Gobbles Up More U.S. Land

Last weeks spy balloon debacle is just the latest act of aggression from China. On the ground, China continues to buy farmland all across the U.S. And if that's not bad enough, they are taking all of the space around our key military bases.

"There is no good reason that we should allow the Chinese, or any other unfriendly country, to buy land that is on the edge of an ICBM field or a key radar site, or any other major security facility" said Dean Cheng, senior research fellow and foreign policy expert.

Here in Texas, a Chinese based energy company purchased more than 130,000 acres of land near Laughlin Air Force Base. All of these 'minor' moves coming from China, are part of a much bigger plan.

"We need to recognize that China is doing a bunch of different things" Cheng told KTRH, "They are trying to buy some farmland to import food back to China. At the same time, we have a very comprehensive Chinese intelligence gathering effort that involves spies, hacking, balloons, and satellites."

It has become a legit concern to everyone, except the Biden administration. Thankfully, Texas Congressman Chip Roy introduced the 'Securing America's Land From Foreign Interference Act' last month. A similar bill is currently on the agenda in the Texas legislature, SB 147, which would prevent governments, citizens, and entities, from China, Russia, Iran, and North Korea, from buying land here in the state of Texas.
