Donald Trump is headlining a rally in Robstown tonight at the Richard M Borchard Regional Fairgrounds.
Among the major speakers are Texas Lt. Governor Dan Patrick, Attorney General Ken Paxton, and U.S. Congressman Michael Cloud. Governor Abbott said in a released statement he would not be able to attend due to a prior committment.
Robstown is near two South Texas congressional districts that have been held by Democrats for decades that are in play this election cycle.
Saturday morning law enforcement will close off access to County Road 40, the back road that leads into the fairgrounds. Those attending the rally must enter the fairgrounds from U.S. Highway 77.
The parking lot opens along with registration at 8am.
Doors open at 2pm.
Remarks will begin at 4pm.
Donald Trump is expected to speak at 7pm.
