Abbott Highlighting Border Crisis in Campaign

The Governor nationalizes the gubernatorial race and leaves Beto in his dust.

Early voting starts tomorrow in Harris County and across Texas Gov. Greg Abbott is hammering the Biden administration's border policies that are allowing millions of illegal immigrants into the country.

Abbott is running for a third term in the November midterms, and he made a campaign stop on Thursday in Corpus Christi. Surrounded by about two-dozen border county sheriffs from both parties, the Republican incumbent didn't mention his Democratic challenger Beto O'Rourke.

Abbott focused instead on Biden, also blaming him for a flood of fentanyl from across the border.

Abbott was attending an out of state fundraiser last night and was not at former President Trump's rally in Robstown.
