Can We Really "Restore Energy Independence"?

As the Biden administration continues their war on U.S. oil and gas, there is a group that is actually trying to do something about it before the midterms, and they're kicking things off here in Houston.

The group is simply called, 'Restore Energy Independence', and it was founded by a fired up 84-year old Louisiana woman named Donie Middleton.

"I had been watching, along with the rest of the world, as our economy was being devastated by the war on oil and gas" said Middleton, "I could see us going back to the good old days of Jimmy Carter, so I decided to try to do something, any little thing that I could, and I came up with the idea of 'Restore Energy Independence' rallies."

With friends and supporters here in Houston, the first rally is set for today at noon, on the steps of City Hall.

"The message is, it's non-partisan" Middleton told KTRH, "Democrats are paying the same prices, and suffering the same from inflation and the recession, as the Republicans. There's no line between us, this is a national movement."
