Aggie Park Tailgating - What You Need to Know

Aggie Fans – meet Aggie Park. After two years of construction, it’s new this year, located across the street from Kyle Field between Houston and Throckmorton. Neal Peltier is Asst Director with University Center and Special Events, and tells KTRH News that last weekend was their grand opening. “Most important thing to know is that everybody who wants to tailgate at Aggie Park needs a reservation. We have created an online registration system that begins at 6pm Sunday the week before the game and ends Tuesday at 5. We take the reservations and then we slot out spaces. They can come as early as 7 am Saturday the day of the game, check in the tent, and we’ll get them to an assigned space.” Walk ups are also welcome and can be accommodated. “Its been really exciting to see how everyone has interacted with the new park. It’s a new space for us and a new space for our visitors and guests. It’s really beautiful. We’re learning how to make it work as we go. A little patience with us, we’ll be a little patient with everyone, we’ll get it figured out. It’s definitely growing, we’ve seen a great response and we’re looking for more and more people to come out the park now that it’s reopened.”

Here's the new rules.
