It won't be long when Saturdays will be again dominated by college football games.
Four Texas schools are in the preseason USA Today's Coaches Poll.
Texas A&M has the highest ranking at seventh, while Baylor comes in at tenth. Texas is ranked 18th while Houston is 25th.
The Longhorns got one first-place vote in the poll but multiple reports say Head Coach Steve Sarkisian is not taking part this year.
The U-T football team will begin the season in the Top 25. Texas will start the season ranked despite a five-and-seven record last year, their worst since 2016. U-T will open the 2022 campaign on September 3 when they host Louisiana Monroe.
The Aggies start the season September 3 against Sam Houston at home. The Cougars will be in San Antonio against UTSA. Baylor starts the season at McLane Stadium against the University of Albany.
