Back in April, when Governor Greg Abbott announced that he was going to bus some of the thousands of illegal immigrants, from Texas to Washington D.C., the left immediately pounced and called it a 'publicity stunt'.
Well, that 'publicity stunt' is starting to pay off.
"It certainly seems like it, they ridiculed him and said it wouldn't work" said Monica Showalter, writer for American Thinker, "What he's doing is taking it home to the people who have promoted illegal immigration, hoping that he would take all the costs, but he said, no."
And now, D.C. Mayor Muriel Bowser says, they now have a homelessness problem in Washington, with overflowing shelters. Now she call it, "a significant issue."
"She was very, very loud about being pro-sanctuary city, and being welcoming, unlike people who oppose illegal immigration" Showalter told KTRH, "Suddenly, she's changed her tune. I should think she would be embarrassed, but knowing how these people operate, that's not what happens."
Rules for thee, but not for me.
As the Biden border crisis continues, mayor Bowser is calling on help from the government to deal with all of the illegal immigrants in Washington. But apparently it's only a problem in D.C., not at the border.
