American Airlines is going to be cutting more flights this fall so it can stay reliable.
American's Chief Revenue Officer told investors the North Texas-based air carrier needs to be more conservative with its resources.
The airline was among the most aggressive among major carriers after the pandemic in restoring capacity, and saw major disruptions throughout the first half of 2022. Through the end of the year they'll fly between 8-10% fewer flights than in 2019.
He expects the canceled flights to mostly happen in October.
American reported a $476 million dollar profit for the second quarter, it's first quarterly profit since than pandemic began.
