Belief In God – Especially Among Liberals - Dips To An All-Time Low

The last 18 months have proven why we shouldn't have faith in our federal government. But a new Gallup Poll shows that our faith in God is now at an all-time low.

"The truth is, we've been in a post-Christian America for well over 30 years plus" said Dave Welch, president of the Texas Pastors Council, "As we look at our founding principles, we have moved away from that and have become a lot more diverse in our religious beliefs in the nation."

The poll found that 81% of U.S. adults say they believe in God, down from the previous low of 86% back in 2014. Not a surprise, the biggest decline in faith, was among liberals and Democrats.

"No, it's really not" Welch told KTRH, "When you look at the political and cultural left, who believe that you can slaughter unborn children without restrictions, even after birth. When we can make up our own gender or sex, and create our own reality if you. They cut the anchor a long time ago."

On a positive note, church attendance is thriving, post-pandemic.

"When we say only 81% of the people believe in God now" said HBU professor Dr. Shannon Holzer, "That may be true, but it hasn't really affected what is going on in the churches."

Unfortunately, the same cannot be said about what is going on in our nation, where many have made the government a false god.

"We grown government into a massive octopus that has taken over" noted Welch, "We have in fact, turned to government when we should have turned to God, and as our founding father's knew, once that happened, then our free republic could not sustain itself.

And we are now reaping the consequences of that every single day.
