It turns out the 18 year old who massacred 19 children and two teachers this week in Uvalde had contact with law enforcement, about this very plan, in 2018.
Earlier this morning, Texas Congressman Tony Gonzalez, who represents Uvalde, told Fox News, "the shooter was arrested four years ago for having this plan, for basically saying that when I am a senior, in 2022, I am going to shoot up a school."
Gonzalez went on to say that, "something fell between the cracks between then and now. We need to figure out what happened, and we need to make sure this doesn't happen again.
KTRH has reached out to Gonzalez for comment, but has not been able to reach him.
Governor Greg Abbott will hold a news conference in Uvalde this afternoon.
Stay tuned to KTRH for more details.
