Gov. Abbott’s Latest Efforts Won’t Secure The Border-Here’s what will...

As the crisis at our border continues, Governor Greg Abbott is getting called out, not only for busing illegals to Washington D.C. (which the left has been pouncing on as a publicity stunt), but also for just not doing more.

"Abbott just doesn't have the political will or the courage" said former gubernatorial candidate Don Huffines, who finished 3rd to Abbott in the GOP primary, "He's not a bold leader, and it takes courage, and someone who is not worried about their political career, but is worried about doing what's best for Texas, and best the country."

So what should Abbott do? According to many, including Huffines, under Article I, Section 10, Clause 3 of the U.S. Constitution, Abbott could declare an invasion at the border, which is clearly happening on purpose under the Biden administration, and then shut down the border and send the illegals back to where they came from.

"He doesn't just have the authority to stop this invasion, he's got an obligation to do it, and to do whatever is necessary" Huffines told KTRH, "Put the federal government on the defense. Why would anyone wait around to get permission to do something? We should never be asking permission from the federal government to secure our border."

The Arizona Attorney General has already declared the crisis at the border an invasion. Will Abbott follow?

"The military needs to be used to treat this as an invasion" Huffines noted, "We could secure the border in 30 days if the mission was clearly communicated. Texas would be secure."

It's Greg Abbott's call, and right now, Texas is not secure.
