No injuries were reported during a standoff Sunday morning in the Pearland area, in which a SWAT team surrounded an apartment where a man had reportedly barricaded himself.
The incident ended just before noon after negotiators were able to talk the man out of the apartment.
It began about 8:30 am, according to Pearland police, when officers were called to an apartment in the 2700 block of Old Alvin Rd. by a caller who said there were bullet holes in one apartment door.
Police approached the apartment, and someone shot through the door, so a Special Weapons & Tactics (SWAT) team was called in.
They surrounded the apartment and were able to establish contact with the man, and after some time talking, the man decided to surrender peacefully to officers.
He was taken into custody with no further trouble just before noon on Sunday.
There's been no word on what charges might be filed against the suspect.
