The Oregon Ducks are the No. 1 team in the first College Football Playoff Top 25 rankings of the 2024 season, which were announced during ESPN's live broadcast Tuesday (November 5) night.
The Ducks, who were also ranked No. 1 overall in the Associated Press Week 11 Top 25 College Football Poll released on Sunday (November 3), are coming off a 38-17 win against Michigan on Saturday (November 2) and remain undefeated during their first season as members of the Big Ten Conference.
The College Football Playoff expanded from four teams to 12 teams this season with conference champions automatically included in to the field. The four highest-ranked conference champions are seeded Nos. 1-4 and receive first-round byes.
Seven at-large teams will be determined by the remaining highest-ranked teams and seeds 5-8 will host first-round matchups.
