Tonight (8-20-2023) from 7 - 10pm, ERCOT is asking you (and all Texans) to voluntarily conserve your electricity usage. Due to continued extraordinarily high temperatures and an unexpected loss of thermal generation, The Electric Reliability Council of Texas is asking all of us to respond to the continued high demand for electricity by using less power tonight.
- Turn up your thermostat a few degrees.
- Delay using your dishwasher for a few hours.
- Unplug electrical appliances while they are not in use.
- Turn ON your ceiling fans, and OFF lights in unoccupied areas of your home.
