Reunited: Astros bring back Justin Verlander in trade with Mets

The Houston Astros and Justin Verlander are back together.

The Astros have sent two minor leaguers to the New York Mets to get their old ace back, less than a year after he left Houston for a free agent deal in the Big Apple.

But the Mets never got on track this off-season, and started a fire sale last week. That selloff included dealing Max Scherzer to the Texas Rangers.

The Astros trail the Rangers by a half game in the AL West.

Sports Talk 790 Astros Insider Michael Connor will join Houston's Morning News tomorrow at 7:50AM.
