Abbott May Call a Special Session

Why would Governor Abbott call back the Legislature for a Special Session? Because many say that over this weekend, many pieces of legislation important to him fell by the wayside as the deadline for the two chambers to work together and create final, agreed-upon versions of the bills just didn't happen.

Some of those would include school choice, border security and property taxes. Those priorities that deal strictly with money find the House and Senate at odds - like the property tax relief proposals. .
