Texas ranking first in the nation for over-the-year jobs added is great for Texas workers!
In 2022, there were 650,100 new work placements. The U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics saying it's largest increase of actual jobs as well as the highest percent of [nonfarm jobs] added over the year at 5%. Compare that to 3% national job growth.
Says Texas Workforce Commission Chair Bryan Daniel:
“Texas continues to demonstrate it is an economic powerhouse with a world-class workforce and employers leading the nation in job growth. These rankings follow 14 consecutive months of record-setting employment in Texas.”
