Shooter in Cleveland (Texas) Kills 5

Around 11:30 last night (4-28-2023) a drunk man [Francisco Oropeza] killed five people, including a child and a teen by shooting them in an almost-execution style in a home in Cleveland - about an hour north of Houston in San Jacinto County. They were all fatally shot above the collar bone. Many law enforcement agencies are in the hunt for the man: FBI, San Jacinto Sherriff's Deputies, Montgomery County Sherriff's Department, Texas DPS, the Texas Rangers, K-9 units, drones, mounted police as well.

Texas Elementary School Shooting

Sheriff Greg Capers: "People in the home first called 911 to report a man with an assault-type rifle was in their home. When deputies got here they found 4 people deceased inside the home. Another, an 8 year old child, had been shot and was taken to the hospital. [the child later died] There was a 'Ring' doorbell at the victims' house and we got to see the shooter arrive at the door with his weapon." Earlier in the hunt law enforcers thought they had the man cornered and should have him in custody within a couple of hours. They learned later that statement didn't hold true.
