University of Houston's Sasser Really is THE BEST!

Today, (4-1-2023) University of Houston Great Marcus Sasser is receiving one truly coveted award. It's the Jerry West Award, meaning he is named the best shooting guard in college basketball for the 2022-23 season. Sasser has now become the very first U of H basketball player to win this coveted award.

Averaging 16.8 points per game in 36 games, it's the first time any University of Houston basketball player has won the award.

After UH’s season ended in the Sweet 16 to Miami, Sasser officially declared for the NBA Draft.
